There are three incentives available to eligible Victorian homeowners and businesses to reduce the upfront cost of installing a solar power system.
1. Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s)
2. The Solar Homes Program
3. Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs)
As a CEC Approved retailer and installer we are able to offer you access to these current solar rebates available in Victoria.
Customers interested in the Solar Homes Program can participate by following these steps:
• You will need to contact an authorised solar retailer for a quote. EOC Energy is a CEC Approved Solar Retailer, CEC Accredited Designer and CEC Accredited Installer.
• EOC Energy (Retailer) will then upload your quote to the Solar Victoria Portal (the Portal), which will trigger the online process for your eligibility assessment. Once this is done, you will be able to apply for eligibility on the next rebate release date.
The STC rebate is a Federal Government incentive and is available to PV solar installations below 100kW around Australia. This incentive is available in addition to the Solar Homes Program.
Once you have successfully completed the Solar Homes rebate application in full via the portal and your application has been assessed, you will be issued an eligibility number and a QR code. Contact us to confirm that you’re proceeding with the quote and book an installation date.
Before we finalise your purchase and install your system we need to apply for approval from your Network Distributor. This is so that they can check the network in your area to ensure that you can safely connect solar and feed energy into the grid. We handle every detail of your installation for you. We take care of everything from getting approvals, installation and working with you to choose the best solar system to suit your needs.
Once we receive network and rebate approval, receive your signed agreement and deposit payment, we will order solar equipment and contact you to book an installation date. Installation will normally happen two to four weeks after we contact you.
Yes, the Solar for Rentals program offers eligible landlords a rebate for the installation of solar panels (PV) on their property. Eligible landlords can also apply for an interest-free loan to further reduce the upfront cost of the solar system.
Most grid-connected solar systems are eligible for a feed-in tariff. A feed-in tariff (FiT) is a credit that customers receive for any unused electricity that their solar power system sends back to the grid.
In Victoria, the cost of a solar PV system is greatly subsidised. The STC’s and Solar Homes Rebate reduce the upfront cost of purchasing a solar system and, as a result, the payback period is often 3 years or less.
Our team of Electricians have installed a combined 2000+ solar PV installations with system sizes ranging from 1.5kw right up to 380kw.
